10-12-25 Announcements
Today, we talked about fear during our weekly worship service. I was joined by Monica Meyers Greenberg for a conversation about fear, and we had an opportunity for everyone to connect with one another and share some fears that they are experiencing right now.
If you were not able to join us in person this week for our worship service, you can watch the recorded service below:
Thank Yous
A HUGE thank you to all who came and helped us plant our first xeriscape garden yesterday! We spent about three hours transforming the narrow strip of grass by Englewood Ave with more than 75 natural plants. As they grow, these plants will require much less water than the grass did. It is estimated that this one small area will save us approximately 39,241 gallons of irrigation water per year.

Also, Bob and I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for the unbelievably generous Pastor's Appreciation gift that we were presented with on Vision Sunday last week. We are looking forward to our weekend away in November! We are humbled and blessed. Thank you all.
Announcements
Reminder: This coming Friday is our Chili cook-off and dessert auction fundraiser on Friday, October 17th. This event will raise money for our outreach ministries here at the church. You can sign up to participate using the buttons below or by letting the office know.
Finally, our youth, young families, and young adults are planning a trip to Thompson Farms next Sunday, right after our weekly worship service. If you would like to join them, you are more than welcome! See Christie or Karissa for more information.
2026 Pledge Campaign
Reminder that we are currently collecting our 2026 pledge cards to help us plan for next year's ministry budget. We shared about this campaign at last week's Vision Sunday service. If you missed that conversation, you can click here to watch it again.
If you are not able to be at church in October to turn in your 2026 pledge card, you can email Dawn, our office administrator, with your pledge.
Joys and Concerns
We have restarted the meal train for David and Kathy Helseth. They have asked me to share with you that they would love to invite those who sign up for meals to consider staying to eat with them as well! I have created a new sign-up sheet that lets you indicate if you are dropping off food or staying to eat with them so that they can plan accordingly. Click here to sign up for their meal train.
Ronnie Grey had surgery at Harborview in Seattle this week, and it went well. He will be in the hospital for a little while.
Please hold in your hearts and minds those who have been impacted directly by the government shutdown in our area.
