10-5-25 Announcements

Today was Vision Sunday at Englewood! This is the one Sunday a year that we focus on celebrating the goals that we have been working on for the last year and share the new goals that we will be focusing on.

I also shared ways that you can be involved in the collaborative effort that it will take to accomplish our 2026 ministry goals.

If you were not able to join us in person this week for our worship service, you can watch the recorded service below:

After you watch today's service, if you would like to process questions, concerns, or ways that you would like to get involved- please email me and we can set up a time to talk!

Announcements

This coming Saturday is a big day at Englewood. It will start with breakfast at 8 AM, and then at 9 AM, we will be having an outdoor work day to plant our first xeriscape garden space. This project is being funded by a grant that we received from Blessed Tomorrow to help us do an environmentally friendly project. If you are planning to come and help, please respond to this email and let me know so that we can plan our workday more specifically.

Next Sunday, after service, is our planned giving seminar with Monica Greenberg, who works with our region/national denomination. For those who register, there will be a lunch, presentation, and discussion in the Fireside Room at noon. You can still register by clicking here.

Finally, we are just a couple of weeks away from our Chili cook-off and dessert auction fundraiser on Friday, October 17th. This event will raise money for our outreach ministries here at the church. You can sign up to participate using the buttons below or by letting the office know.

Joys and Concerns

We announced in church today that Kathy Helseth was briefly hospitalized this weekend here in Yakima, but is back home now.

Ronnie Grey will be having a second surgery at Harborview in Seattle this week and then will be recovering in the Tri-Cities area.

Please hold in your hearts and minds those who have been impacted directly by the government shutdown in our area.

Join us in praying for the wildfires in our area and those whose homes, property, and health have been impacted. Lift up the many individuals who are working to get these blazes under control.
