Good evening, Englewood Community!
I enjoyed getting to see many of you and connect today! Our service today continued our exploration of the Disciples of Christ Mission Statement: We are a movement of peace in a fragmented world. We explored what it means to be "of peace" today.

Announcements
1. Today was our monthly food drive collection to benefit the Rotary Food Bank. We do this on the last Sunday of each month, We are looking for a team of volunteers who would be willing to help take food to the food bank after we collect it each month. Let me know if you would be interested in helping with this task once a month.
2. Reminder that next Sunday is our first Sunday of the month potluck in the fellowship hall after service. We invite you to plan to join us for lunch next week!
3. As we are unpacking the Disciples of Christ Mission Statement these four weeks, it might be a good time to learn more about the Disciples' History, beliefs, and structure. I have built an online class that you can take to explore on your time and at your own pace. Click here to explore that collection of resources.
4. Today in our bulletins, there was a list of the ongoing ways that you can connect and get involved here at Englewood this fall.
If you have questions about any of these groups, please reach out to Christie.
Please remember that the intention is not to overwhelm you but to give everyone lots of options of ways to connect and get involved that work for different schedules and interests. No one expects anyone to try to do everything! Pick the connection points that work best for you, your interest, and your time.

Joys and Concerns
Continue to pray for Kathy Helseth as she is going through this round of her cancer treatments. We do have a meal sign-up sheet for the Helseths. You can click here if you would like to sign up. They are also in search of a walker with a seat on it that Kathy could use around the house. If anyone has one that they could use, please reach out to David or to me.
We have several members recovering from surgeries or injuries right now. Please be thinking about:

Please keep the family of Gloria McGlothlen in your prayers this week as they prepare for her celebration of life service at Englewood this coming Saturday (9/6) at 2 PM. All are welcome to come and honor her life and community impact.
