5/25/25 Announcements

If you were unable to join us on Sunday for our weekly worship this past week, we discussed the conclusion of John 21, where Jesus and Peter conclude their conversation. As we unpacked, Peter got very distracted in this conversation and was more worried about what was happening with John than himself. We used this as a basis for our service on Sunday around the idea of scorecards. You can watch the service back on our Facebook page.

Joys and Concerns:

Vera and Dorry asked for prayers for their Aunt Anna, who is 106 and adjusting to life in a nursing home.

Ronnie Grey is back in Yakima at Good Samaritan and continuing to do rehab and heal from surgery.

David and Kathy Helseth shared this update about Kathy's cancer treatment:

The official diagnosis for Kathy's cancer is glioblastoma grade 4; there is no cure for it, but the goal of treatment is to slow it down. The good news is that Kathy has the MGMT component of her cancer, which has shown more responsiveness to treatments. Kathy will finish this first course of treatment on (or around) June 4th, and then around a month later, in early July, she will have a new MRI. This scan will show the team how effective the first round of treatment has been and help them shape a plan moving forward.

Please continue to pray for Kathy's health, her strength, her friends and loved ones, and the wisdom of her medical team.

If you need anything this week, please do not hesitate to reach out.
