5/18/25 Announcements

Hello Everyone!

Today was a beautiful day at Englewood for our weekly worship service! We explored the story of Jesus and some of his disciples on the beach from John 21. If you were not able to join us in person, you can watch today's service back on either our Facebook page or our YouTube channel

Announcements for this week:

1. This Tuesday, we are serving at Camp Hope for dinner. We could still use a few people to help us serve dinner at 5:30 PM. If you are willing to help, please respond to this email and let me know.

2. This Wednesday at 5:30 PM will be our next Religious Trauma Support Group in the Fireside Room. We would love to have you join us if you could use support in this area of your healing journey.

3. Next Sunday, we will have a gathering for young adults at 6:30 PM at the church. We will be playing outdoor yard games and having an ice cream bar. To RSVP, please respond to this email.

4. Englewood is now on Instagram! If you are on that social media platform, you can follow us by clicking here

5. Our friends at St. Timothy's have invited us to join them on Thursday, May 29th at 7:00 PM for an Ascension Day service followed by an ice cream social.

Information about our Congregational Vote on 6-8 after service

After many months of discussions, sermons, and conversations, our Englewood Vision Council has set a date for our congregational meeting to vote to officially approve our Wide Welcome Statement that we have been processing together. You can click here to read the text of the proposed statement that we are voting on.

This vote will take place on Sunday, June 8th, immediately after service in the sanctuary.

We are going to move our June potluck back one week so that after the meeting, we can all enjoy lunch together, picnic-style on the back lawn. Feel free to bring your lawn chairs, yard games, and a dish to share that day.

If you are not able to join us in person for this important vote, you can contact Christie Love or Sandi Vogel to get a ballot to vote early. Ballots are available now and can be turned into the church office, where we will have a locked ballot box available.  We also have an online ballot set up. Please respond to this email to request an online ballot link if you need one.

Joys and Concerns:

* Please continue to keep Kathy Helseth in your thoughts and prayers as she continues cancer treatments right now.

* Ronnie Grey has moved back to Yakima to continue his rehabilitation at a facility locally. Continue to pray for his recovery and strengthening.

* Please be praying for Pam Schmidt, who has been dealing with several health issues over the last few weeks.

* Rose Preacher asked that we keep the children of Yemen and Gaza in our prayers. Pray for wisdom and courage in ways to advocate on behalf of these innocent victims of war in these countries.

If you need anything this week, please reach out and let me know how I can support you.

Blessings,
Christie
