5/11/25 Announcements
Hello Englewood Community,
My normal Sunday afternoon email was delayed this week due to Mother's Day yesterday, I took the afternoon to spend time with my kids and to catch up with my Mom in Missouri over video chat. I hope that you were all able to find ways yesterday to honor the caregivers in your life who are still with you and those whose impact lives on through their memories and legacies.
Our weekly worship service yesterday was not able to be streamed due to some technical difficulties that we had. We are very sorry for this and are working this week to correct the issue! Doyle Hardy preached a message yesterday that was impactful and thought-provoking. I enjoyed the chance to sit back and listen, participate in service, and connect with others.
Here are the announcements that we shared yesterday during service:
1. This coming Saturday is our monthly Camaraderie Breakfast at 8 AM. You can sign up by clicking here or signing up at the Welcome Desk in the Narthex.
2. Next Sunday is our Second Concert Series (on the 3rd Sunday). The performer will be our very own Kaeren Steele Fouts!!!! The concert will be at 2 PM at Englewood and all are welcome to attend. Learn more about the concert by reading this article that the newspaper ran today!
3. On Tuesday, May 20th, we will be serving a pizza dinner at Camp Hope. We are looking for volunteers to help us serve this meal. If you are available and willing to help that day from 3:00-4:30, we will be preparing at the church, and from 5:30-6:30, we will be serving at Camp Hope! Please email me if you would like to participate!
4. Our Vision Council has set a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, June 8th, after service. At this meeting, there will be some updates shared and a vote taken to officially adopt our proposed Wide Welcome Statement as our official welcome statement here at Englewood. You can learn more about our proposed welcome statement by clicking here.
Following that meeting, we will have our June potluck- picnic style in the back area. We hope you are able to plan to join us on this day. If you are not able to join us that day, you can vote early in the church office. See Sandi Vogel or me for details about early voting.
