Also Today
After service today we hosted this month's Documentary and Discussion event. We watched Jesus Was a Migrant, and afterward, we had a powerful conversation with Danielle Surkaty, who volunteers with Yakima Immigrant Response Network.
We talked about ways to be involved in helping to support our neighbors who have been impacted by immigration enforcement, including:
Give to support the work of YIRN
Sign up to receive the Neighbors Helping Neighbors email updates
Consider becoming an Accompaniment Volunteer
Support our ECC Cares Fund, which often helps impacted families.
Plan to attend the Community Vigil, to be held the evening of October 18th (More details coming soon).
I also shared the schedule for the rest of our Documentaries and Discussions for the rest of the year so please mark your calendars and consider joining us for these events.
