We concluded our October Community Impact focus today with a spotlight conversation with Danielle Surkaty, who volunteers with the Yakima Immigrant Response Network. She shared stories and patterns of what has been happening in our community over the last year related to immigration enforcement.

Ways/Links to support Yakima Immigrant Response Network :
1. Donate gently used suitcase for individuals and families to use when they are leaving our community. You can bring these to Englewood and we will make sure they get to YIRN.
2. Volunteer to help add funds to the Commissary and Phone accounts of detainees in Tacoma's Immigration Detention Center. You can respond to this email if you are interested in helping with this and I will connect you to next steps.
3. Give to the YIRN Humanitarian Fund.
4. Volunteer to help with rapid response or accompaniment with YIRN. Respond to this email if you are interested and I will connect you for next steps.
5. You can volunteer to help run errands for YIRN, deliver food boxes, and help with our Christmas outreach. Reply to this email if you'd like to get involved.

This coming Friday is our 2nd Annual Chili Cook-off!!!! The funds that we raise at this event will support our ECC Cares Fund, Sandwich Ministry, and our monthly meal at Camp Hope. Use the blue button below to RSVP, sign up to bring a dessert, or enter your chili in the competition.

Faith Action Network Video on Voting
A few days ago, the Faith Action Network shared a video of faith leaders throughout Central Washington talking about the sacred act of voting. I had a chance to contribute to that project and talk about our Love Out Loud language here at Englewood. I invite you to take time to watch and to share this important video with friends and family.
