6/29/25 Announcements
Hello everyone! Today we kicked off our Summer Worship Series "Critical Conversations" with a discussion about privilege. A big thank you to Bob Love, Chris Moore, and April Yates Hardy who joined me to talk about that topic today.
We had the chance to sing Happy Birthday today to Keith Dorsey who will be turning 101 years old on Tuesday this coming week!
We also were blessed by our kids who led our call to worship today by sharing their version of the Wide Welcome Statement that they have been working on in recent weeks! You can see the text of their statement below in the photo.
If you were not able to join us in person this week for our worship service, you can watch the recorded service using the links below:

1. I will be holding space again this Tuesday morning at 9 AM at the Peace Pole in front of our building this week. This is a time of prayer to lift up peace, violence, and injustice in our world. I invite you to join me in person to pray or to pause for a few moments where ever you are Tuesday to join us in centering these themes in prayer.
2. This Wednesday at 6:30 PM in Religious Trauma Support Group in the Fireside Room. If you have questions about this group, please email me to start a conversation.
3. This coming Friday, July 4th the Community Band will be performing a free patriotic concert in the grassy area behind our building at 7 PM. Bring a lawn chair and come enjoy an hour of music that evening.
4. Next Sunday we will be having our first of the month potluck right after worship service. In addition, we will also be using this time to share some community partnership updates and upcoming ways that we can help to meet needs and love out loud in our community. Plan to join us for lunch and discussion next Sunday.
5. We still have a few of our new Englewood Wide Welcome shirts for sale. The cost for these locally printed ones will be $18 each. If you would like to purchase one, you can let me know by responding to this email or connecting with Dawn in the church office this week.
Also, Bob and I will be out of town Thursday-Saturday this week. If you have an emergency during this time, please connect with Dawn in the church office.
