3/22/26 Announcements

Today was a special day at Englewood Christian Church as we had the opportunity to honor Rev. Jeff Davis in our service. Recently, Jeff completed the required steps for his previous ordination to be recognized formally by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Our Regional Minister, Paul Allen, joined us today for this special service to explain how that process works in the Disciples system and to share the news that Jeff now has full standing with both our regional and national ministry. Doyle offered a prayer for Jeff, his wife, Necia, and their children, Lilly and Reuben.

Then Jeff led the remainder of our worship service today by preaching and leading communion.

It was a great service, and if you were not able to join us in person, you can watch it back online by clicking on the button below.

Talent Show Results

We had a great time on Friday night at our 2nd Annual Englewood's Got Talent show! This event was a fundraiser for our Englewood Cares Fund, which we use to meet the needs of our neighbors throughout the year.

We had 13 acts in this year's show who helped us to raise more than $800!

Congratulations to our winners this year:

Josie- winner of our youth division for her piano duet.

Dotty- winner of our adult division for her poetry reading.

Kay- winner of most entertaining with her Patsy Cline Dance.

We can't wait for next year's event!

Joys and Concerns

Please continue to pray for Jeff and Shalee Cunningham, whose loved one, Captain Curtis Angst, recently lost his life in Iraq.

Pray for Dawn Gaulke's mom, who has had some health challenges this week, and for Dawn and her family as they have been caring for her.

There are others in our community who are dealing with loss, illness, and injury. We hold all those who are struggling in our minds this week.

Due to an outage with one of the websites that we use, our schedule of events for this week is not able to be shared at this time. Please click the button below to see the upcoming events for this week on our website.
