3/2/26 Announcements

We began our new topic focus for March: Conflict. I shared today that this month we will explore four of the main conflicts Jesus had with the religious leaders of his day. We began today by examining the conflict they had with Jesus' authority.

I mentioned during my message a book suggestion that I want to share here for anyone who did not have a chance to write it down: Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time by Marcus Borg. I have ordered two copies of this book for our library, and they will be in there starting on Tuesday.

If you were not able to join us in person or online today during service, you can use the button below to watch our service back this week on your schedule.

Today's Announcements

Last night, we hosted a fundraiser dinner for the Yakima Immigrant Response Network as part of our Love out Loud for Lent focus. I am excited to share with you that we had a sold-out event that raised $13,100 to support our neighbors who have been and will be impacted by immigration enforcement.

We have a new digital calendar that has been installed in the Narthex next to the doors. There are instructions on how to use it and what the color-coded events mean framed under the calendar. Let me know if you have any questions.

Note from David Helseth

Dear Englewood Family:

On behalf of the entire Helseth extended family, I wish to offer our deepest thank you to all of you who have prayed for us, stood by us, offered support, food and words of love and grace this last year.  Your presence and support was felt and greatly appreciated.

And a big thanks for all the work and effort you poured into preparing for and serving all those who came to attend the memorial service for Kathy.  It truly was a humbling and blessed expression of love and grace to honor a wonderful person.  I know full well the amount of time and effort that goes into preparing and serving a reception such as this.  It was beautiful and exactly what we needed.  You truly helped “set the table” for hospitality to all who attended.

And a thanks to Christie, Dawn, Kaeren and others who helped make the service what it was.  It was amazing to see the sanctuary full with loved ones and friends from far and near.

Now, I personally covet your continued prayers and support as I figure out this new way of being in the coming months.   With God’s help expressed in folk like you, we will walk this together.

 Peace,

David Helseth
