Carolyn Hamilton
Youth

Youth Activities Director

Carolyn Hamilton was raised in the Lower Yakima Valley.  She attended Santa Clara University where she majored in mathematics as well as studied dance and photography.   At SCU she spent three years on the board of directors arranging multicultural events.  After college, modeling, acting and dancing became her focus.  She has lived in Ellensburg, NYC, Milan, and Vienna but settled down in Cairo Egypt. She spent 13 years in Cairo working as a successful dancer and actress.  While in Egypt, Carolyn founded a yearly arts festival that focused on dance, live music and culture.  The festival ran for 8 years in 6 different locations around Egypt.  She also produced 7 albums of Arabic music as well as taught dance in 33 countries.  Carolyn returned to the Yakima Valley in 2015 with her two boys, Youssef and Cassius.  Since returning, she has been working with her sister, Judy Hamilton, to develop a fitness program, Motional Intelligence, which targets brain plasticity using dance, group interaction, movement interventions and fun.  She is also a substitute teacher and a volunteer in the Wapato School District while continuing to teach dance throughout America.  She is excited to be part of Youth Outreach at Englewood and envisions through art, music and dance children can find creativity, inspiration and a welcoming community at Englewood Christian Church.
