Sandwich Ministry

Every Sunday morning volunteers gather to make 200 peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches that are delivered to Camp Hope and distributed to the homeless and hungry in Yakima.

We will gladly take donations of bread, peanut butter or jelly as well as sandwich bags. If you would like to help make sandwiches on Sunday, meet at the church at 9:45 am.

Program coordinators: Paul and Sharron Brunn.

Please click 'Give' button below to donate and choose 'Sandwich Ministry' from the drop down menu.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Volunteers knit or crochet shawls to provide comfort for people who need prayers. When a shawl is requested, the finished product is passed through the congregation to be blessed or to offer a prayer for the specified individual.

If you wish to share your talents by knitting or crocheting these shawls, directions and yarn are available on a table near the church office. You can also contribute by donating yarn.

For any inquiries, please contact the church office at (509) 966-6550. The program coordinator is Becky Buell.

Camp Hope Meals

Jesus said, "Feed the Hungry," and that's exactly what we do! We prepare and serve dinner to the homeless residents at Camp Hope every third Tuesday.

If you'd like to join us, simply arrive at Camp Hope by 5:15 that Tuesday. For any questions, please contact the church office at (509) 966-6550.0.

Citizenship Classes

Englewood Christian Church offers Citizenship classes every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6-8 pm.

These classes are a part of a program where Lawful Permanent Residents can enroll in Citizenship Education. This educational program is designed to provide insights about the citizenship process, U.S. history, civics, and English skills, all in preparation for applying for naturalization.

For further information or inquiries, please contact Mireya Chavez at (509) 457-5058 or send an email to mireya@lacasahogar.org.
